Congratulations once again for Piotr Plławner!

These days good news is rare, but we have some: violinist Piotr Plławner has just been named Artistic Director of the Silesian Chamber Orchestra in Katowice. He will assume his duties in September 2020, conducting five programs with works of very different composers: Vivaldi, Bach, Beethoven, Grieg, Holst, Weiner, Séjourné, Górecki, Piazzolla, Glass und Kilar. The Silesian Chamber Orchestra was founded in 1981 as part of the Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra; it performs regularly in Poland, Switzerland and Germany.
