„Fabulous, free-flowing Coloratura“ – Ania Vegry in Manfred Trojahn’s Opera „Twelfth Night“
On December 8, 2018, a new production of Manfred Trojahn’s Shakespeare-Opera “Twelfth Night” (1998) had its premiere at the Niedersächsische Staatsoper Hannover. Gerhard Eckels described his enthusiasm on Dec. 9, 2018 in “deropernfreund.de”:
“The first person we have to mention is Ania Vegry who proved that she is an absolutely perfect coloratura soprano. Her role of Viola/Cesario is full of wild and crazy intervals and is written almost entirely for the highest registers. She mastered them with perfect speed and gave the lyrical parts full expression. All of this on the highest level”.
