We are delighted to welcome the Polish violinist Piotr Pławner as a new artist at UR classics. First prize-winner of the Wieniawski- and ARD competitions, his extraordinary talent and breathtaking virtuosity are internationally acclaimed. His broad repertoire encompasses works of all areas from the Baroque through to contemporary music. Piotr Pławner attaches great importance to less well known, seldom performed music and to the works of Polish composers like Witold Lutosławski, Andrzej Panufnik or Grażyna Bacewicz. In November 2018, he made his debut at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg during the festival “My Polish Heart”.
